Sew the CB seam, leaving a gap for the zipper. Then, insert an invisible zipper.
Attach the side back to the skirt back. Repeat at the front skirt pieces.
Gather the top of the skirt.
Join the front to the side front and the back to the side back at the waist.
Make the waist ties.
Fold the raw edge of the tie.
Neaten the raw edge on the straight cut side of the ruffle. Then, sew running stitches along the curved cut side for gathering later.
Join the front to the back at the shoulder.
Match raw edge of the ruffle and the waist tie along the princess seam. Stitch together your ruffle, tie and the blouse front.
Sandwich the ruffle and the waist tie between the dress front and the side front.
Join the front to the back at the side seams.
Assemble the hem ruffle pieces. Gather the raw edge of the ruffle. Use a double-turn for the hem.
Attach the hem ruffle to the dress.
