Cut Out Back Dress




Make all the darts.




Sew the princess seams.


Join the front to the back pieces at the shoulder.


Make up the bodice lining as shown here.


Sew the side seams of the skirt.


Attach fusible stay tape around the neckline and the armholes.


Attach fusible stay tape to the bottom of the back bodice and the upper edge of the skirt waist.


Join the dress and the lining at the neckline, leaving several centimeters of the CB.


Sew the lining to the dress at the armholes, leaving several centimeters on both sides.


Turn the bodice inside out.


Closeup the shoulder seam.


Match lining to lining and main fabric to main fabric, and sew each of the side seams. Join the main fabric and lining at the bottom of the armholes.


Sew around curve of waist seams, leaving several centimeters of the CB.


Insert a zipper at the CB.


Trim the zipper to fit.


Sew up the main fabric and lining at the upper edge of the CB. Close the bottom of the CB opening. Hand stitch the lining to the zipper.


Insert a zipper at the CB.
